Poland's extremely low unemployment rate


The Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) announced that the unemployment rate fell from 5.6 percent spotted in April 2019 to 5.4 percent in May. The number of unemployed registered at labour offices decreased from 938,300 to 906,000. According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, this is "a historical result", as it is the lowest rate since September 1990.


Current situation on the Polish market provides a perfect opportunity for the market entry to Poland. Low unemployment rate, supported by the ongoing growth caused by the 500+ programme, will lead to a positive economic situation in the next several years. While entering the market, one may need to use local recruitment services to find qualified staff, however, potential of the Polish market will surely benefit all the newcomers by offering lucrative possibilities in a very promising business environment.
