Field Service Technician

Main tasks and responsibilities: 

• Mechanics: Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, inspections and troubleshooting for
machines and equipment in veneer and plywood manufacturing. In addition, your tasks might
include occasionally machine installation, installation supervision and training the customers for
new equipment at our installation sites.  
• Automation: Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, inspections and troubleshooting. You
should have a degree in machine automation and a good knowledge of control systems, PLC,
motion control and frequency converters.  
• Maintenance tasks are performed at our customers mills, or remotely using modern online tools.  
• You must have readiness to travel, you need to have good interaction skills, customer service attitude, the ability to work independently and a good level of English.

In additional Field service technician: 

• Is responsible for high-quality service planning and implementation of customer visits and reporting
of the work. Reporting is started during the visit at customers mill and finalized not later than one
week after the visit.
• Is responsible to organize start and end meetings with the customer when the work is started and
finished in a mill.
• Acts as Raute ́s representative at customer sites.
• Is promoting further sales through additional services, recommendation of spare parts, upgrades
and modernizations.

Supervisor or other management responsibilities: 

• No direct supervisor responsibility but the duties of the installation supervisor and site manager
includes management responsibility for site employees. Job is mainly expert type.
