Exciting news! “Mannerheim – Polish years” by Jukka and Anna Soisalon-Soininen will be published in Polish in early June.
Carl Gustaf Mannerheim was a national hero of Finland who commanded Finnish army during the World War II and went on to serve as the president of Finland. As he writes himself, he spent the best years of his life in Poland.
✔ The book consists of about 400 pages and more than 400 unique pictures.
✔ It shows how Poland influenced Mannerheim's way of thinking and makes it possible for a reader to look at Poland through his eyes.
✔ The authors not only cover seven years that Mannerheim spent in Poland, but also reveal his fascinating friendships with Poles, which continued until the end of his life.
