The report is available in English here: https://lnkd.in/eBYdN-v5

Startups - during the Q1, 35 startups rounds raised PLN 444M (EUR 106M) from 34 funds. That’s a 155% increase in capital compared to the same period last year.

✅ Almost half of the rounds were later-stage investments – we’re seeing more and more big tickets in Poland.

✅ The number of growth-stage deals is growing – bValue fund was particularly active here.

✅ 10 out of the 35 deals included PFR Ventures funds, which provided nearly 40% of the total capital. PFR Ventures stands for the Polish Development Fund and is the largest fund-of-funds in CEE, supporting the VC/PE market by backing funds that invest in early-stage and innovative Polish companies.

✅ Foreign funds are increasingly looking at Poland - their input was over 40% of the total value.

Biggest rounds of the Q1:

💡 Polish unicorn ElevenLabs closed a PLN 700M (EUR 170M) round with international TOP investors

💡 Nomagic with a round of around PLN 140M (EUR 33.6M).

💡 Plus, according to the report, another 7 rounds landed in the PLN 20–50M (EUR 4.7-11.7M) range.

And finally... We at Spondeo are happy to observe how Iceye is recorded into funding statistics both in Poland and in Finland. Depending on the country, we see it described as Polish-Finnish or Finnish-Polish unicorn 😀
