By 2028, the Polish cosmetics market could be worth nearly 30 billion PLN (little more than €7 billion). That’s a 20% growth from 2023 figure, around 25 billion PLN (close to €6 billion). According to the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the market is expected to grow by 800m PLN (~190m€) annually. PAIH also clarified that Poland accounts for 5.5% of the gross value added to the EU cosmetics market.

Poland is already among Europe's leaders in cosmetics exports:

In 2023, we ranked 5th in the EU (8%) and 9th in the world (3.8%)!  (Just a year earlier, in 2022, Poland was 12th globally). Ahead of us are Spain (9.3%), Italy (11%), Germany (15.3%), and France (30%). Finland is a small player in this segment, with a share of only 0.1%.

In 2023, global cosmetics exports reached €148 billion. Poland exported €5.7 billion worth of cosmetics. Interestingly, 65% of our cosmetics go to the EU market, while the rest is conquering the world!

In Poland, the cosmetics industry currently have around 1300 producers, and they create approximately 65 thousand jobs. This figure represents 10% of all employed in the EU cosmetics industry.
